Trademark Description & Translation for Registration in Saudi Arabia
To register a trademark in Saudi Arabia, you need a precise Arabic description of the mark, the Arabic pronunciation and meaning of any foreign words in it, and a certified translation of any non-Arabic documents. At MC Translation in Jeddah, we prepare all of this in a filing-ready file, so you or your agent can submit the application to the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) with confidence.
What our trademark service includes
Arabic trademark description
An objective, precise description of every element of the mark — shapes, colours, text and background colour — with the position of each, opening with the mark's name exactly as it appears.
Arabic transliteration and translation
A table listing every word or letter in the mark, its Arabic translation where it has a meaning, and how it is pronounced in Arabic letters.
Certified translation of filing documents
Certified translations of the documents your application may need, such as powers of attorney, commercial registrations, priority documents and foreign trademark certificates.
Review before filing
We check the description against the logo so no element is missed, and deliver a file ready to copy into the SAIP platform.
How trademark registration works in Saudi Arabia
Registration is done online through SAIP's e-services platform:
Log in with the National Single Sign-On (Nafath) or your email.
Enter the application details, attach the mark and its description, and choose the class of goods or services.
Pay the application fee so SAIP can examine the request.
Receive the examination decision: acceptance, conditional acceptance (amendments within 90 days), or rejection.
If accepted, pay the publication fee; the mark is published for 60 days for opposition.
If there is no opposition, pay the registration fee within 30 days of the invoice and print your certificate.
We take care of the hardest part of step 2 — a complete, accurate description and the required translations — which helps you avoid amendment requests and delays.
SAIP trademark fees
These are government fees paid directly to SAIP as published on its website, separate from our service fee — please check SAIP's website for the latest figures. Our fee depends on the mark and the number of documents; contact us for a quote.
